LinkedIn Engagement Rate Calculator

Enter the numbers from your post analytics: the rate is computed instantly, post by post and overall. Nothing is sent or saved.

What is it for?

The number of likes alone means little: 50 reactions on 500 views is excellent; on 20,000 views it is weak. The engagement rate relates interactions to the audience reached so you can compare your posts fairly.

Compare your posts

See which topics trigger the most reactions, for an equal audience.

Choose your formats

Text, image, carousel, poll: spot which ones work best for you.

Track your progress

Measure whether your changes (hook, timing, format) are paying off.

The formula(reactions + comments + reposts) ÷ impressions × 100

Example: a post seen 1,200 times with 40 reactions, 8 comments and 2 reposts = 50 interactions. 50 ÷ 1,200 × 100 = 4.17%.

How to use it in 3 steps

  1. Open your post analytics on LinkedIn (impressions, reactions, comments, reposts).
  2. Enter the numbers below: add several posts to compare them.
  3. Read the result and see where you stand against the indicative benchmark for your format.

How the engagement rate is calculated

By impressions: (reactions + comments + reposts) ÷ impressions × 100. This is the most common way to compare posts with each other.

By followers: interactions ÷ number of followers × 100. Useful to gauge how your audience responds, but it ignores the real reach of the post.

Where to find your numbers

In each post's analytics (impressions, reactions, comments, reposts). The exact label varies depending on your profile or page.

Where the benchmark comes from

The benchmark comes from Socialinsider: average engagement rate by impressions across company pages with 1,000 to 1 million followers (2025 column), where interactions = reactions + comments + shares. See the source.

It is an order of magnitude: a personal profile, another industry or a small network will have different values. Compare yourself to your own posts first.
